Cremation is a more simple process in terms of hands-on effort. As shown above, the body is identified and the chosen urn is labeled properly. The body is then washed in a disinfectant and placed in a flammable container. It sits in a retort for one and a half to two hours then the remains are sifted through with a magnet to find any metal bits. It's ground into ashes and given to the family. Of course, respect is the priority when handling the remains.
